The Context: 

Psychedelic Healing Converstation Preamble 

In preparation for tomorrow's conversation, I wanted to share some of the resources I studied in 2020 + 2021 around using psychedelic healing in an effort tp manage and potentially treat my PMDD. 

Tomorrow instead of providing this research live, I want to use our time to share about my experiences, and bring a true subject matter expert on the topic 🌻✨ Daniel, Mayan Mystic 🛸 (he/she)

I did over a year of studying on the topic, consulting with my physician and therapist in preparation for my own experiences in late 2021 and again in early 2022.  I wanted to 'dump' here some of the insights that interested me in my research.

My biggest concern was the potential negative affect a Psychedelic would have on my ability to connect with the Spirit World, I have never wanted to risk my connection with Spirit, so I was very comforted to find the research of Psychic Medium Eileen Garret (best known for her book 'Awareness')

I discovered about Psilocybin and healing through my death doula continuing studies + research that John Hopkins University was testing high-dose Psilocybin on patients with death-anxiety in terminal illness, the results were incredible, and that really sparked my initial interest in the topic, a bit more resources and about John Hopkins Psychedelic Research: 

Johns Hopkins Research Center is a pioneering institution renowned for its groundbreaking studies exploring the therapeutic potential of psychedelics, particularly psilocybin, in treating various mental health conditions.

Johns Hopkins University Research Data Revealed:

• Smoking Cessation Success Rate: One of the most notable findings is the high success rate in smoking cessation post-psilocybin therapy. Research indicated an astonishing 85% success rate in helping individuals quit smoking, far surpassing traditional methods. As someone who abused colonized tobacco for 17 years, I wish I knew this in 2002! 

• Reduction in Anxiety and Depression Scores: Psilocybin therapy demonstrated substantial reductions in anxiety and depression scores among participants. These improvements were observed in both immediate and long-term assessments following the therapy sessions.

• Long-Term Positive Effects: Data showcased enduring positive effects, indicating sustained improvements in emotional well-being and increased quality of life among participants even after the therapy sessions had concluded.

• End-of-Life Distress Alleviation: The studies revealed the profound impact of psilocybin therapy on end-of-life distress in terminally ill patients. Participants experienced a significant reduction in anxiety and increased feelings of peace and acceptance, easing their distress about death.

• Safety Profile: The data reinforced the safety profile of psilocybin therapy when administered in controlled, clinical settings with trained professionals. Minimal adverse effects were reported, emphasizing the therapy's safety under supervised conditions.

The Voice of Spirit with UK Medium Dominic Boag

I am thrilled to have UK Medium (and my favourite mentor) Dominic Boag back on Spirit School to talk about his new book, The Voice of Spirit: The Boy Next Door with an Incredible Gift. Dominic and I began this episode by reflecting on our experience in person at Spirit School and the magic of being connected by Spirit. Dominic also had an in-person spiritual center for people to gather and learn different modalities in a supportive space. His career now is focused on travelling for demonstrations and teaching, but it was an incredible experience!

In this episode, Dominic Boag shares some insights from his book, the Voice of Spirit and his journey as a medium. He talks about the fact that we all have all of the clairs, and that we need to be open to developing the ones spirit works through for us. Dominic shares his highlights from the year from his travels, and what to consider when choosing a mentor or medium. He encourages mediums to create space for spirit without judging what comes through you from spirit. This was a very insightful conversation full of wisdom from Dominic's 17 year career.

November Spirit Messages

The November Spirit Messages are here, this one is for those working towards leadership in their work and life. Do Ghosts Exist?

One of the most political topics in the Mediumship Space! I've had many teachers I respect and trust say they absolutely do, and I've had many teachers I admire and value their opinions who say they don't, it just doesn't 'make sense' that they would. 

 

Over the years of podcasting I have had different views at this at different seasons of my spiritual maturity path, and it's a topic I'll continue to revisit over my spiritual path, as Ghosts and the Paranormal seem to be a gateway to spirituality for so many of my newer spirit schoolers!
